Day 5 – Texture Techniques for Backgrounds

Embossing paste is addictive!  Day 5 was probably one of my favorite days. I love that this class gave us the chance to JUST MAKE BACKGROUNDS with out have to worry about where it was going.  Thank you Laura for your fabulous ideas!  Also, Kristina, I love the half and half embossing.  It made adding sentiments etc. SO much easier!  I used folders that I had never used before!!  Anyways, here is what happened on the table:

Stencil is Time Holtz as well as DI

Stencil is by Penny Black and DI

Stencil is Tim Holtz and DI

Miscellaneous embossing folders!

DI inks: Citrus, Festive Berries and Mowed Lawn Green

And here is what they became!!

Tim Holtz Crazy Birds, stencil and die cut words as well as DI: cracked pistachio and mermaid lagoon/salty ocean

Tim Holtz festive greens,  Penny Black "merry" .  Sorry I do not know what the embossing folder is.

I have so many Wendy Vecchi stamp sets and never use them.  I was so happy to use this set.  It did take me a while to fussy cut all the bees, but they were so cute!!  The busy bee ad was painted using Ken Oliver Color Burst paint powders.  They are so much fun and so easy to use.

Thank you so much for visiting.  Hope you enjoyed seeing what I have created.
