So excited this was the challenge because I never have a masculine birthday card ready, and my bonus daughter's husband has a birthday in January--and I never get one done on time... Well I still actually missed the day, but at least it is still January.
I have had this little truck for some time now and finally punched one out. I had some blue watercolor and salt samples from a previous challenge and...
Had to quick paint up some tires, "wood" and windows. The background was done with Distress Oxides on an embossing folder (Carabelle). Not sure if I was supposed to . "spritz" the folder before closing it.
Anyway, here is my card.
Here are the water color papers that I used. Also used Penny Black Antique Frames for the white rectangle.

Hi Jules. The timing was perfect with our challenge! :) What a great design. I love that you were able to use one of your salt watercolour backgrounds from our previous challenge. Great design for a masculine card. The dry embossed background is so cool ... looks like a licence plate! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!
ReplyDeleteThanks Loll, I did not realize that about the background/license plate, but you're right!!
DeleteLove this pick up truck cut from the salted background piece, Jules! It gives it a real vintage feel like a well loved truck! Wonderful details! Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour!
