Challenging challenge Jenny! CAS Mix UP for August really had me working.
I tried several times to get something to "work". I really wanted to stamp a bear wandering behind some birch tree stencil, but it didn't work!! I finally landed on my well loved sunflower stencil and some tiny Darkroom Door grasses and sentiment.
This is beautiful, Julie! Love the stenciled sunflower and the stamped grasses work perfectly! Thanks so much for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you persisted and the end result is stunning! Beautiful colour with great depth! Thanks so much for playing with us at CAS Mix Up:)
ReplyDeleteLove how you have only partially stamped the grasses through the sunflower stencil with excellent results. Thanks for sharing at CAS Mix Up this month.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you persisted when your first idea didn't work out (happens to me all the time), this looks terrific, the over stamping is so effective with the greater intensity at the base of the stencilling! Super job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at CAS Mix Up.
Thank you Chrissie for your kind words and encouragement!
DeleteYes , your stencil looks like STAMPlorations "Peeking Dahlias", but works well for a sunflower image too:-) I love how you added the stamped grasses thru your stencil. I turned out beautifully. So pleased you joined us at CAS Mix Up, Julie. Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteYou are right Nancy! I just looked it up-thanks! and thanks for the kind words!
